On Screen : Wonder Woman 1984

Let's be honest, the fact that theatres have been closed for a long time has been difficult on the film industry. But I'm not entirely certain what the limited release of films on online platforms is going to do to the industry as a whole. Will it force people to join the platforms? I'm not certain. Will it increase digital piracy? Not certain of that either.

Wonder Woman 1984 was originally supposed to be released in theaters. I know it should have released earlier in 2020, because at Spirit Halloween the new costumes based on the new film, were available for purchase. Which was odd considering the release of the movie had been delayed and pushed back a number of times.

The movie was good though. The imagery, the pacing, the vibrancy. It was fabulous.

And I loved that  they included so much. They give her a core. Make her "human" rather than just a "superman".

Music Monday : Quiet Day

Getting back into this is a bit hard, but to be honest I'm starting to feel a little better. Feeling better makes it a little easier to write and think about the world and what I want. I don't really know what I want right now. But that's ok.

There's no reason that I have to know right now. Just getting through one day at a time is a start. I just hope that is enough.

I hope your week is off to a good start, and that there's a spark of magic in it.

Music Monday : Get back in the Swing of things

So far 2021 has kept up with the shenanigans of it's predecessor 2020.

I admit that I'm having trouble focusing and making words connect intelligently. My anxiety and depression haven't been playing fair. But that doesn't mean I should stop doing things that I enjoy. But I need to figure out ways to be able to do them, while not hurting myself in the process.

But it's going to be ok.

It's a new year, and we have a lot to think about.

A new start maybe, or a resurrection of the past. I haven't decided yet. But there is enough to think about that I think I will try to keep going for now. I don't really know what else to do anymore.

Woodkid : I Love You

The Krayolas : I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend

Music Monday : Hello 2021!

I know very little in the world at large has changed other than the number at the end. But there is a bit of excitement at crossing over the line into another year. Ages go up, and there's a lot of unknown factors to think about.

I know  that I may sound a bit perplexed, and I am, I am having trouble staying focused. I am hoping to find a way to be better. I want to share the new year with you all.

But right now all I can do is hope that I will have the chance to.

Music Monday : Last Monday of 2020

To be fair, it felt like 2020 was never going to end. A lot of the problems that we have had this year are not going to be going away as we enter 2021, but maybe we will see some new growth or changes that may be positive. We can hope at least.

The music that I'm choosing for this week, most of it is different music that I've bumped into while listening to Spotify at work. I've added some of the songs to a playlist on there that I listen to when I can because it brings me enjoyment, and helps with my anxiety. Silly I guess, but at this point I'll take help in any form that I can get.

Anyway, I hope your week goes well, and that you are safe and healthy in the new year.

Be You.
