Music Monday : Green With Envy

There's some  things that we never grow out of, envy is one of those things. Even if we may not realize it we have moments in our day when we are envious of other people and what we see as their life. The funny thing about this jealousy is that it often overlooks flaws that may be clearly evident.

I'm not really feeling myself of late, But I want you to know I'm trying. I'm trying to be ok. I'm trying to find a new normal in this world that feels anything but normal anymore. But we're all struggling in our own ways. We'll make it to the other side. I just don't know what the other side is going to look like anymore.

My Color is Blue

 I thought that today I would share something, a little more personal than most of the posts that you've seen lately. I thought I would share a poem I wrote, just.... to break the ice a bit.

I hope the world is treating you better than it is treating me.

My Color is Blue 

I wear Black,
    'though my color is blue
I wear black and disappear
    hanging in shadows
            just out of view
I keep my head low,
    and avoid offense.
I wear Black,
    'though my color is blue.
Red ruts down my cheeks,
    eyes burning from tears.
It's safer to hide,
     from their unknown fears.
My friends are green, red, yellow and orange
     vibrant and joyful together.
But apart we wear black,
    Our true colors hidden below.
Knowing that our truths 
    need to be safe beneath shadow.
We've seen what truth gets us,
    it's not always good.
I wear black,
    'though my color is blue.

Movie Collection Update : More Disney?

 I know Mondays are usually for music, but I don't really have the energy to try and make a music post currently. So instead I am just going to make this post about some of the movies I have to add to the movie list. I haven't updated it in months, and at one point we hit a thrift store that had some fgood selections. (That and I bumped into some good sales)

So today I'll just make a note saying that I did add some more Disney movies to my collection. Which is never a bad thing. It's always good to have something simple and fun to watch.

Music Monday : More Time

 I need to start making more time for myself. Lately the only things I've been doing is work related. I've also started seeing the doctors again due to the issues I'm having with my health. I'm falling over more than before, and my vision is getting problematic now.

With that admitted, I'm sorry I haven't written anything in a long while. I know I want to, but my anxiety and depression haven't been making it an easy task to take up. And to top it all off, the world is full of uncertainty.

People are still getting covid. It's still moving faster than anyone would call ideal. 

Make time to see the people you care about. Make time to pause and look at the world around you. Make time to do something that makes you happy.
