Ongoing Projects

I know that I haven't been posting a lot the past couple of weeks. Part of the reason is that I have been busy between work, gaming, and cleaning up and updating things around here. I am torn between what direction to go in currently. Mainly because, generally speaking, I don't feel I am of any consequence. I write because I enjoy it. I also enjoy making the music Monday posts.

But I miss travelling. Unfortunately travel doesn't fit into my budget very often. So I have a void in my life where that wants to be. But I do have a few locations from my recent travel to write about yet, so that's a thing. I do know that there are some events in the near future that I will be at. I can write about those too.

I finally managed to get my list of movies organized. I only had 5 duplicates. So that is kind of awesome. My goal in the coming months is to link each film to it's IMDB link, or to a post discussing the content or themes. This will make it easier for people curious about a film to know what I have in my collection.

I am also working the day shift 2 days this week. Today (Wednesday) and Thursday. Day shift throws my motivation out the window generally speaking, so forgive me for that. I am working my way through planning the future updates nonetheless. Please be patient as we work through the new changes.

Oh! Something exciting and fun, just because I want to share something that made me super happy! Below you can find an awesome piece by @littlewhatknotsco on Instagram and Facebook. My Boo Boo absolutely loved it as his surprise valentine. I highly recommend checking out their work if you're looking for something both personal and unique.

Music Monday : Movie Manic

One of the things I did this weekend was get my movies sorted and put away into one place. Mostly? Which lead me to discover that I have a few duplicates, but considering the volume and variety of movies in my collection, that isn't too bad.

Which leads me to wondering if I should make a list of the cd's that I have in my collection also. But I don't see why that would be as much of a problem. Cd's get scratched more often than my dvd's do.

In any case, I thought today it would be fun to pick songs that appear on movie soundtracks. So here's hoping you have a great week, and once I get the music list sorted out and cleaned up I will be replacing the currently active movie list here with the updated list. Alphabetized and everything, because my S.O. thinks it would be easier to reference that way.

Book Shelf Revisited: Something Different For Valentine's Day

To be honest Valentine's day is the one day of the year I dread more than any other. I've yet to have a pleasant experience on it, and I am not going to be planning on having a good experience on it this year. But that doesn't matter. I found an adorable book that I just HAVE to share with you! (regardless of how I personally feel about the matter of Love)

Fixing Cupid

Cristian YoungMiller

438 pages

Don't let the page numbers daunt you. This is a fast read, the story is fun and you never know what is going to come next.

It revolves around a character named Ben and his troubles with love. If you don't believe me, just read the first 6 pages, you'll know enough that you'll likely be as intrigued as I was.

His best friend decides to try and help him 'fix' his problem, by helping him put his life back together. But as the story continues, we wonder if the fix is causing more trouble than it is worth.

Due to most of the content of this book, I do NOT recommend it for readers that are not capable of dealing with sarcasm and adult situations. It also helps to have a sense of humor and a slight idea about romantic history.

Why did I like this eBook? Well, it was cheerful, pleasant, and there are a large number of comedic moments that shine. It is a piece that will appeal to both genders, and there's a happy ending.

I guess I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Music Monday : One Month Done, Next Started

2020 has been crazy so far, From a number of stand points. Personally as well as not. But the first month is finally over. There's not really anything good that happened in January other than my vacation. Which I know I promised to share more of, I just haven't had time to sit down and write. My bad.

So today, I'm going to have to be open minded. But that means today, the music choices should be interesting(though I hope they usually are). Because I should be positive. Let's be positive! February can be better than January. I know we are about 10 days in. So let's try to fight through the late winter/early spring blues. But... there is a shadow yet lingering. But it will end. Everything does eventually.

Pending Updates

I know that it is going to be a little bumpy as I work out what the current time is going to mean for me. What I do know, is that I am not going to be giving up anytime soon. I just need to take time to get a schedule of both ideas and time sorted.

I am currently working on getting back to creating in various mediums. This is good and bad, because I want to be better at writing things and sharing ideas. But I don't know what I am really thinking about as far as moving forward.

I like doing the music monday posts, and sharing some of the music that makes me happy. But I also know I need to do some updates around here.

I need to update my movie list to add some of the films I have added to my collection. I also know that my Boyfriend would appreciate it if I redid the list in alphabetical order. Why is this something I am ok with working on?

Well it has made it easier to keep us from repurchasing films that we already have. He has admitted that if it hadn't been for the list he would have repurchased a large number of films he already owns.

I am also working my way through some of the older content and debating how best to continue.

Any ideas? Yeah it should be ok.
