But there are reasons for many of us to utilize video games.
A video game is an interesting thing for a number of reasons. They can be educational, challenging, as well as entertaining. Personally I never considered myself to be a video gamer. But there's been a lot of changes in my life the past few years, and I think now I would fit into the classification of a video gamer.
The past few years I've come to find a enjoyment in the distractions offered by video games. They're often completely different from day to day life, and the ones I've had a preference for weren't considered gamer games. I really only played things like Second Life, a little bit of Bubsy on Sega Genesis (barely) and a few other games that merely flitted through my life. They didn't really hang around long.
Well, Second Life did. It's held on fairly well, and if I had a regular connection to the internet I could reliably connect by I'd likely still be a regularly player. But unlike the first person shooter games, or other challenges offered by other games, Second Life is more of an interactive social platform. I feel the best description of the game is Barbie Dolls for grownups.
But over time I have evolved. Now I spend a little bit of time almost regularly playing Final Fantasy Online. I've finished a few games, Journey and Dream Chronicles. Perhaps not the most challenging games available but they challenged me while being low on intimidation levels.
But over the years I've realized that video games aren't really for everyone. Some people have creative talents that flourished amazingly well without the hindrance of preprogrammed entertainments. You can argue that video games aren't preprogrammed, but they truly are limited to the scripts that the designers provided to them. Some people are full of stories and ideas that are amazing, they only need an opportunity to share their unique talents with the world and to feel free to do so.
Video games shouldn't be used as a replacement for life. Instead they should be used as a supplement for the things that we may feel to be lacking in our lives. There are for example desires in some of us to travel, but our circumstances may not always enable to do so. Games can offer the opportunity to explore and entertain ideas that our daily lives do not let us experience. This does not mean that they are for everyone. But they are something people should consider more.
Games are not just games anymore. Games have become social environments in which kinship and friendships blossom without the boundaries created by societies unrealistic expectations. But this should not be a replacement for reality. It should merely be a supplement, an opportunity to spread mental wings and gain insight without the confines of our personal boundaries. Personal Boundaries include : Social status, appearance, health, disabilities and many other things that may make it difficult at times to get a fair shake.
But again video games aren't for everyone.
But I've come to the understanding that I can appreciate them for the art form they are, as well as for the opportunities that they provide for different people to explore ideas and thoughts they may otherwise never have the opportunity to enjoy.
So don't judge someone just because they play video games, or any other kinds of games. There is often an underlying need or desire that is being fulfilled by the opportunities offered by the game.

Quaggans!
So there are these adorable little creatures in Guild Wars 2, and they are called Quaggans. I don't play this game >.> But I've seen Polke A Dot playing and these are adorable! But he says you're not actually allowed to fight as a quaggan which makes me kind of sad. Because they're so cute, and like...yeah, who doesn't want to be adorable and dangerous?
he argument usually goes something like this:
1 : I wanna be a quaggan!
2 : no...just no.
1 : But then I could play with you.
2 : Quaggans don't fight. NO, just no.
And I am still not playing GW2 but they're so adorable. After watching some videos though I do understand a little bit more about these adorable fictional creatures. I still think they are superbly adorable. On the bright side it seems that there are a lot of people that agree with that point of view.
In GW2 there's even a quaggan backpack. I kind of want one in real life. I wonder if anyone would make one.

Work, Weather, and Video Game
Alright ^_^ So today we're going to have a quick update about the activities and daily events that Have been going on for me. To be honest, I don't really have too much to tell you about. I'm going to tell you a little bit about work, the weather, and maybe my video game. Which might not sound like anything you want to know about, but it ~IS~ what I have to talk about.
So I did manage to get hired into a job last week. So far it isn't bad. It's got alright hours, so I can't complain too much there. Am currently full time and right now am doing 11:30 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday, with a morning shift on Saturday from 9 am until 1 or 2 pm. I dealt with a of of rejection during my shifts the other day, but it's a job. When I had my interview I had to take a drug test, and it was different. They gave me this spongy thing on the end of a stick, and I had to hold it on my tongue and get it all squishy and gross. Let me tell you, the after taste was totally gross XD. Anyway, what I'm getting at is with the work schedule, I might not have as many things posted up here for you guys. Am sorry ~_~. But I am going to try my best still to make sure that I don't let too much time lapse between posts.
The weather has been varied. Some days it's cool, but yesterday it was very warm. I think they said it was 80 degrees out yesterday. I'm still not used to it being so warm. I wonder how long it will take for me to become accustomed to it. I'm not sure, I just hope that at some point soon I get more comfortable with it. I'm not saying I miss the cold (I don't!), but I'm not used to being so warm either.
In my video game the march edition of the gacha arcade has opened up. But atm I can't go. But it's still fun to watch everyone trading things in the group. I do plan to go and see about dragging a few things home with me, but for now meh. It's not a necessity and I'm not too worried about it.
Anyway, hopefully I will have more to tell you about later this week. I'm still getting into the swing of things, so hopefully I get some sort of schedule lined up so that I have something to tell you about. Until then, am going to leave you with a cute song. It might not be extremely nice, but it always makes me smile. And that's what matters. I'll drop you a post again soon!
